Nutritionist/ Lactation Counselor

Shonte’ Smith is a nutritionist for WIC (Women, Infants and Children), and the chairperson for the Genesee County Breastfeeding Coalition. She is a certified lactation counselor (CLC). Shonte’ is very passionate about breastfeeding and improving breastfeeding rates among African-American women. She is also a supporter of extended breastfeeding. She is a wife and a mother of 4 busy children. Shonte’ is currently breastfeeding her 2 year old son.
