Marlayna Bollinger is the founder and Executive Director of the Skinny Gene Project, a diabetes prevention, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. She has been a diabetes prevention advocate for 12 years and is passionate about teaching parents how to end the trend of diabetes in their families. The Skinny Gene Project received the 2010 Influence San Diego Non-Profit of the Year Award and is currently the only non-profit it San Diego County with a diabetes prevention program that is recognized by the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention).
