Nathan Kohen

Infant CPR Instructor

As the training site coordinator and lead instructor at CPR Advantage, my goal is to provide the highest quality education based on extensive classroom instructional experience and practical field experience, using the most current instructional materials available. We incorporate each student’s required level of responsibility as it relates to direct patient care, incorporating practical examples and real-life scenarios where appropriate. My teaching certifications are provided through both the American Heart Association as a Basic Life Support Instructor and by the American Red Cross as a First Aid and CPR AED Instructor. My practical experience comes from working as an emergency medical technician for American Medical Response, working aT Children's Hospital as part of the C.H.E.T. team, and running 9-1-1 calls as a paramedic-intern with Vista Fire department. While creating a fun classroom environment that is interesting and stimulating, I emphasize technique and development of core skills, so that in a true emergency, each successful student will be able to perform the correct steps of first aid, choking relief, CPR or defibrillation without hesitation.
