Michelle L. Burton is the Managing Partner of Shoecraft ♦ Burton, LLP, a boutique civil litigation firm in San Diego, California which specializes in civil litigation, complex insurance coverage litigation, professional liability, general business law and planning, and construction disputes. Ms. Burton is both an accomplished trial attorney and certified appellate specialist. She has obtained defense verdicts against multi-million dollar claims for her clients throughout California.

Ms. Burton received her Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law, San Diego, CA and is licensed to practice in California and Washington. She is currently on the Board of Governors of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers and is the President of Run Women Run a local political action committee dedicated to inspiring women to run for political office. Ms. Burton was a 2013 finalist for the San Diego Business Journal’s “Women Who Mean Business.” Ms. Burton also is a contributor for several news stations and routinely is called upon to provide legal analysis of cases and issues of interest as well as analysis of political issues.

Ms. has two children who are currently in high school and middle school. She has been married to her husband, Frank Burton for over 20 years. In her spare time she enjoys running and training for half marathons.
