Vitamin D and the Breastfed Baby

Why do you want this episode removed?

New Mommy Media's business model has changed to one that engages sponsors which market breastmilk substitutes and related products. I cannot ethically offer health information in a space, virtual or otherwise, where such marketing, which goes against the WHO Code for the Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes, is permitted.

This episode was originally created to help new and expecting parents. In your opinion, how are we helping these parents by removing this episode?

Families may find more current information on this topic via a simple Internet search of my name and the topic, and can be assured that the information they receive in these other virtual spaces will not be conflated with marketing messages that may compromise or jeopardize their infant feeding choices.

By removing this episode, I am improving the likelihood that families will find more current information on this topic via a platform that respects their right to access information about infant feeding without exposure to predatory marketing of breastmilk substitutes and related products.
