Christine Perez

NICU Nurse

Christine Perez is a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse at Tri-City Medical Center in Oceanside, California. With nearly 20 years experience in nursing, Christine provides care for preterm and term infants and has experience caring for pediatric populations. At Tri-City, she is a passionate advocate for sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) awareness. She educates family members on the care of sick infants and preventative measures such as immunization and safe sleeping environments. Christine has spoken at national conferences on preventative health issues, including the Baby Friendly Initiative and breastfeeding. In 2010, Christine won an award from the University of New Mexico for back-to-sleep education. Christine has a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Chamberlain College. When she’s not working in the NICU, Christine enjoys yoga, barre classes, walking her Puggle Lola, traveling and volunteering at the San Diego Zoo.
