Elad Erdan
Babysense CEO
Elad Erdan is the CEO of Babysense (https://babysensemonitors.com
Elad is unusually direct about a question most new parents hit in their first week home — how much monitoring is actually the right amount. Because Babysense makes every configuration, he is comfortable telling a family which monitor they don’t need, and he talks openly about the tradeoffs the category tends to gloss over: what WiFi and non-WiFi each mean for privacy and reliability, why a breathing monitor is a fundamentally different device than a camera, and how to tell a real safety feature from a marketing one. Babysense products carry no subscription fees, so families aren’t paying monthly to see their own baby.
He came to infant safety by way of consumer health and wellness. Most recently he helped build and sell MAYU Water (https://mayuwater.com), a venture-backed brand that rethought how people drink water and went from near-shutdown to millions in revenue and an acquisition. Before that he helped launch Colu (https://www.colu.com), a local-currency app that supported small businesses and neighborhood economies across U.S. cities through COVID. Earlier still, he was one of Israel’s youngest elected city council members, a corporate lawyer, and part of the renewable energy industry’s expansion into the United States.
