Dawn Dickerson

Lacation Consultant/ Yoga Instructor

Dawn Dickerson is the owner of Mamas & Milk, supporting women and their families on their journey through pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding. Dawn has been an educator for over a decade with a Masters in Education and multiple-subject teaching credential from Antioch University. After the birth of her first child, she knew that working with women during pregnancy and postpartum was what she was meant to do. She became a yoga instructor, certified in prenatal yoga with Jane Austen in San Francisco in 2009. She became a birth doula because all her favorite prenatal yoga instructors were doulas, and accidentally fell in love with birth. She became a Certified Lactation Educator and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant through UCSD. Dawn lives in San Diego with her husband and two boys. When she is not teaching and helping mamas breastfeed, she is usually playing with trucks, trains, and diggers. She also enjoys traveling, practicing yoga, cooking, painting, and the ocean.
